How far is Agra from Noida and Delhi by taxi?

Agra is about 200 km from Pari Chowk (Zero Point) and Noida's main sectors by road, and around 230 km from central Delhi. A Noida to Agra taxi usually takes 3 to 3.5 hours on the Yamuna Expressway, while a Delhi to Agra taxi needs about 3.5 to 4 hours because of city traffic before the expressway.

Starting point Approx. distance Approx. time Main road
Noida / Pari Chowk (Zero Point) ~200 km 3–3.5 hours Yamuna Expressway
Central Delhi ~230 km 3.5–4 hours DND or Kalindi Kunj + Yamuna Expressway
Delhi IGI Airport ~240–250 km 4–4.5 hours Yamuna Expressway

The six-lane Yamuna Expressway begins at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida and runs almost to Agra, keeping the drive smooth. From Delhi, drivers usually join it via the DND Flyway or Kalindi Kunj. FASTag tolls are paid at actuals and shown in your quote.

Can I do a same-day Taj Mahal trip by Noida to Agra taxi?

Yes. Most travellers leave Noida around 5:30 or 6 am, reach Agra by about 9 am, see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, eat lunch and start back by late afternoon to be home by night. Remember that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so plan your Noida to Agra taxi for another day.

A practical same-day plan looks like this:

  • 5:30 am: pickup from your home in Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi or Ghaziabad.
  • Around 9 am: Taj Mahal, before the midday crowds and heat.
  • Noon: Agra Fort, a short drive along the river.
  • 3 pm: Mehtab Bagh for the riverside view of the Taj, or shopping for marble work and petha.
  • 4:30 pm: start the return drive.

Check ticket rules and closures on the Archaeological Survey of India website before you travel. If you start from Delhi instead, simply add about half an hour to each leg of the Delhi to Agra taxi plan.

What can we see in and around Agra?

Beyond the Taj Mahal, Agra has the red sandstone Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah (often called the Baby Taj), Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna and the busy Kinari Bazaar. Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar's abandoned capital, is about 40 km away and fits best into a two-day plan with one night in Agra.

Uttar Pradesh Tourism lists more heritage sites in the region. Mathura and Vrindavan also sit on the same expressway, and our Vrindavan and Mathura cab page covers temple trips. Planning the Golden Triangle? Continue from Agra to Jaipur in the same car – see our Jaipur route page for that leg.

Is an Agra to Delhi taxi available for the return?

Yes. A round trip is the simplest choice because the same car and driver bring you back. A one-way Agra to Delhi taxi from your Agra hotel can be arranged on request, subject to availability, so call or WhatsApp us a day or two ahead with your pickup point, date and time.

One-way drops from Noida or Delhi to Agra are available too, which helps if you are staying on in Agra or travelling onwards. Our note on one-way taxi benefits and savings explains when a single drop costs less than a round trip. Catching a flight? Share its time so the driver leaves with a buffer.

What decides the fare for a Delhi to Agra taxi?

The fare depends on the vehicle, whether you book one way or a round trip, your pickup point, the number of days, Yamuna Expressway tolls, parking near the monuments, driver allowance for overnight stays and the season. We list every item in a written quote, so call or WhatsApp for the best quote.

  • Vehicle type: a sedan costs less than an Innova Crysta or a tempo traveller.
  • Tolls and parking: paid at actuals and shown separately.
  • Driver allowance: applies when the driver stays overnight in Agra.

Our guide to taxi fares in Noida and NCR explains each item in plain words, so you can compare a Noida to Agra cab quote like for like.

When is the best time to drive to Agra?

October to March is the most comfortable season for sightseeing in Agra. In December and January, dense fog can cover the Yamuna Expressway early in the morning, so our drivers may wait until visibility improves before starting. April to June is very hot, so begin early and finish the monuments before noon.

Before a winter trip, check the fog forecast on the India Meteorological Department website. Long weekends and holidays bring heavy crowds at the Taj Mahal, so book your Noida to Agra taxi a few days early for those dates.
