Group trips are the most fun when everyone travels together – singing bhajans on the way to Vrindavan, sharing snacks on the drive to Rishikesh or planning the next stop as a team. For groups of 13 to 16 people, a 16-seat Traveller makes that possible without the cost and size of a full bus. At Kashi Travels in Sector 122, Noida, this vehicle is a favourite for residential societies, satsang mandalis, wedding families, schools and office teams. This page explains the layout, features, best uses, how fares work and how to book a 16 seater tempo traveller on rent from Noida.

Seating layout

Most 16-seat Travellers in NCR use the longer Force Traveller body. A typical arrangement:

Row Seats
Front Driver + 1
Rows 1–4 2 + 1 pushback seats with an aisle
Last row 3 seats

Layouts vary slightly by vehicle. Seniors are usually most comfortable in the front rows. For smaller groups, see our 12 seater tempo traveller page.

Features

  • Individual pushback seats with armrests.
  • Air-conditioning with roof vents (on steep hill climbs, the driver may switch AC off briefly for engine safety).
  • Roof carrier with a waterproof cover for luggage.
  • Music system and charging points in most vehicles.
  • Curtains, reading lights and a wide entry step.
  • Aisle space to move around on long trips.

Best uses

Trip type Why a 16-seat vehicle works
Society and satsang pilgrimages One vehicle for the whole group, shared bhajans and meals
Weddings Baraat movement, guest transfers, airport pickups
School and college trips Teachers and students together, one driver
Office offsites Team bonding on the way to Rishikesh, Corbett or Jaipur
Extended family holidays Grandparents to grandchildren in one vehicle

Many groups book a 16 seater tempo traveller on rent for the Char Dham, Vrindavan and Haridwar. See our Char Dham Yatra tour package page for group pilgrimage plans.

How fares work

We do not publish rate cards online because every trip is different. A quote for a 16 seater tempo traveller includes:

  • Per-km rate for total kilometres.
  • Minimum kilometres per day on outstation trips.
  • Driver allowance per day for overnight trips.
  • Tolls and parking at actuals.
  • State entry tax at actuals when crossing into other states.
  • Night charges if the vehicle runs late at night.

For local use in NCR, packages are based on hours and kilometres. Our detailed tempo traveller per km rate guide explains each part. Call or WhatsApp +91 99996 62137 for an exact quote.

Planning a group trip: practical tips

  • Appoint one coordinator who shares the passenger list, pickup points and timings with us.
  • Fix a departure time and a single meeting point where possible.
  • Share luggage details – 16 large suitcases may need a luggage trailer or a second vehicle.
  • Plan realistic daily distances, especially in the hills.
  • Keep a group WhatsApp with the driver's number for coordination at stops.
  • Book hotels in blocks early for peak seasons.

16-seat Traveller vs a mini bus

Point 16-seat Traveller 20–26 seat mini bus
Comfort Pushback seats, AC Varies; often less legroom
Access to narrow roads Easier Harder
Hill routes Well suited Restricted on some routes
Cost for 13–16 people Usually better value Higher total cost

For groups of 17 to 25, we also offer a 25 seater tempo traveller.

Why groups prefer a 16 seater tempo traveller

For groups of 13 to 16, the alternatives are usually two or three cars or a larger bus. Splitting into several cars means different arrival times, separate conversations and more coordination at every stop. A bus is often too large for town lanes, temple parking and hill roads, and it costs more than a group of this size needs. A 16 seater tempo traveller keeps everyone together in comfortable individual seats while remaining manageable on most roads, which is why it has become the default choice for society trips and family pilgrimages from Noida.

Travelling together also changes the mood of the trip. Families tell us the drive itself becomes part of the holiday – antakshari on the expressway, shared parathas at a dhaba and bhajans on the way to the temple. Those moments are hard to create when a group is split across three cars.

Society and RWA trips

Residential welfare associations across Noida, Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad regularly plan trips for members – senior citizens' pilgrimages, weekend picnics and festival outings. For these, we offer:

  • Pickup from a single society gate at a fixed time.
  • A driver familiar with group schedules and patient with elderly passengers.
  • Help with group hotel bookings on overnight trips.
  • A single invoice for the association.

Many RWAs repeat trips every season with the same driver because the members get to know him well.

Satsang and temple groups

Kirtan mandalis and temple committees often travel to Vrindavan, Barsana, Govardhan, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji. Our drivers understand temple timings, help find parking close to the temple lanes and plan the day around aarti times. For Braj trips, read our Noida to Vrindavan cab guide – the same plan works well for groups in a 16-seat Traveller.

Wedding transport

Weddings bring together relatives from many cities, and moving them between airports, hotels and venues is one of the biggest challenges for the family. A 16 seater tempo traveller can handle airport and station pickups for large family groups, hotel-to-venue shuttles and the baraat procession. For big weddings, we often combine two Travellers with a few cars. Share a clear schedule with names and phone numbers, and our coordinator will keep the movements on time.

School, college and coaching trips

Schools and coaching institutes in Noida book Travellers for educational trips to Agra, Mathura, museums in Delhi and science centres, and for sports tournaments. We follow school instructions on pickup and drop points, share driver details with teachers and keep the vehicle clean and safe for students. For trips with overnight stays, teachers receive a full itinerary in advance.

Office offsites and team outings

Team outings to Rishikesh for rafting, Jim Corbett for a jungle stay or Jaipur for a heritage weekend are popular with companies in Noida's IT parks. A 16 seater tempo traveller keeps the team together from the office gate to the resort, which often becomes the best team-bonding time of the trip. We provide GST invoices and punctual departures, and we can add cars for senior leaders who need to leave early.

Travelling in the hills

On mountain roads, a Traveller moves slower than a car and drivers take extra care on bends and climbs. AC may be paused briefly on steep climbs to protect the engine. Our drivers avoid night driving in the hills, plan stops before dark and keep daily distances realistic. Check the IMD forecast before hill trips, especially during the monsoon, and keep a buffer day on long pilgrimages.

Comfort tips for the group

  • Give the front rows to seniors and anyone prone to motion sickness.
  • Keep one small bag per person inside; heavy bags go on the roof.
  • Carry water, snacks, tissues and a basic first-aid kit in the cabin.
  • Plan a rest stop every two to three hours.
  • Keep the aisle clear for safety.
  • Respect the driver's advice on speed, stops and route.

Getting an accurate quote

When you ask for a fare, share everything at once: the pickup address or addresses, the full route with sightseeing stops, dates and times, number of passengers, approximate luggage, and whether you will stay overnight. With this, we calculate total kilometres, apply the daily minimum for outstation days, add driver allowance for nights away and list tolls, parking and state taxes separately. You receive one written quote that you can compare line by line with any other operator. If the plan changes during the trip – an extra temple, a detour or an extra night – the driver informs our office and we confirm any change in the fare with you before the trip ends.

Common mistakes group organisers make

  • Waiting too long to book. Wedding season, long weekends and Char Dham months see heavy demand for large vehicles.
  • Underestimating luggage. Sixteen large suitcases rarely fit on one roof; plan a trailer or an extra car.
  • Too many pickup points. Each extra stop adds time; ask members to gather at two or three points.
  • Unrealistic schedules. Covering four cities in two days leaves no time to enjoy anything.
  • No single contact. Without one coordinator, instructions to the driver get confusing.

Avoiding these makes the trip smoother for everyone, including the driver.

Cleanliness, maintenance and on-board safety

Each vehicle is cleaned before every trip. Before long journeys, our team checks tyres, brakes, lights, wipers, AC, seat belts and the spare wheel. A first-aid kit, fire extinguisher and basic tools are kept on board. If any issue comes up on the road, call our office and we will arrange help, including a replacement vehicle on major routes where possible.

Payment

Pay by UPI, bank transfer or cash. A small advance confirms the booking; the balance is paid at the end of the trip. Associations, schools and companies receive proper invoices, including GST invoices where required.

Pickup areas

We send vehicles to every sector of Noida, to Greater Noida, Greater Noida West (Gaur City, Techzone 4), Ghaziabad (Indirapuram, Vaishali, Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik) and East and South Delhi. For large societies, share the gate number and visitor-entry rules so the driver can reach the right tower quickly. If members live in different areas, we can plan two or three pickup points on the route and share the timings with everyone the night before, so the group leaves together without long waits.

Safety and permits

All our vehicles are commercially registered with valid permits for the states they travel to, insured and serviced before long trips. Drivers are experienced on expressways and hill roads, avoid night driving in the mountains and take regular rest. Commercial registration details can be checked on the government Parivahan portal. For Uttarakhand trips, every passenger must register on the Tourist Care Uttarakhand portal.
